Sushi boat? Yes please! This is a short walk away from my boyfriends place, we love coming here when we need a quick and fun bit of sushi.
The sushi bar has cool little boats floating around with the same rotating pieces. You can make requests of what you want too. The different color of each dish specifies the price per plate.
It's fun watching the chefs make the sushi right in front of you too!
Definitely check this place out if you love sushi, and maybe want to try something new. -

I was looking for a decent Japanese place in the area as I just moved back to Richmond from San Francisco. I guess my expectations from amazing sushi in SF has completely spoiled me. I will never be visiting this place again and I suggest you stay away.
Right off the bat, the wait staff seemed very disinterested in seating my group. Our server was very cold and standoffish. I saw her glaring at me a few times from across the room as I tried to get her attention to bring me my drink that I ordered but did not receive. My son and boyfriend got their drinks right away and it took my bf to ask her for her to bring mine. I don't know if it had something to do with the fact that I am heavily tattooed and I know some traditional Japanese people do not condone tattoos, either way, I felt very unwelcome.
My chicken Karaage was raw, it seemed as though they had just dipped in the oil for a few seconds and served it that way. I explained to the server that the chicken was raw and that I am pregnant and I don't want to get sick. She took it away and offered me a new one, I declined and she took it off of the bill. My son did not like his California roll, which has been his favorite food since he was 2 and he is now 9. I don't even know how they could mess that one up. -

You guys, the sushi floats by on little boats!
It's freaking adorable and delicious!
I think everyone must go at least once for the novelty alone.
My 9 year old and I had salmon sashimi, unagi, edamame, avocado roll, salmon unagi roll, fried dumpling with some kind of white fish, and mango Mochi ice cream.
Bill was only $27.00, sweet deal! -

Big fan of immediate gratification and getting a small bite of many different things so Sakana Bune fits the bill perfectly. We try to get there when they open. As it gets busier the variety gets so much better. Not the best but good satisfy certain needs. Will always be down to come here.
Most memorable: Tempura rice base topped with spicy tuna on one side and salmon on the other topped with three sauces (1 being wasabi that I don't love) and imitation crab meat on top. Great bites! -

Perfect spot of this occasion, was with a friend, had just gone hiking outside, we were pretty hungry and didn't want to spend a lot.
What I like about this style restaurant is that you can start eating within seconds of sitting down. You don't have to order because the food floats right past you.
Wide variety of options. Very reasonable.
Not necessarily the highest quality sushi you'll find in the Bay Area, but totally satisfactory for a quick lunch.
